FOREWARD

It has been my pleasure to know Henry Weatherly as a first-year medical student. As one of his professors in medical school, I knew he was special. He had all the qualities of a high-performing medical student who always wanted to excel. In this book, Henry is extending his knowledge to others, using his talents both as an educator and illustrator.  He has creatively put together an easy to read concise information about complex topics in medicine that combines basic and clinical concepts, and clarified them with simple innovative diagrams and drawings. In this new age of self-directed medical student learning, this book will help students as they prepare for their board exams and will serve as a quick refresher for any topic they need to remember during their rotations. It is necessary to provide medical students and interns with state-of-the art, comprehensive, easy to understand medical knowledge. This book is a great effort in that direction.
